Now I've Seen Everything!

It's a stuffed Buddha!!! Isn't it cute? This is definitely going on my Christmas list. I saw this this morning and it just made me smile. Enjoy the image as much as I have. :)

Hi Thom,

I'm glad you like it, too.

Here is the link to where I found it:

A stuffed Buddha for Christmas! What blasphemy! LOL! How delightfully ironic! :-) What did you get for Christmas? A stuffed Buddha. Watch the dumbfounded expression on the questioner's face! Priceless! Stacey, you have a beautiful sense of humor! :-)

Happy Thanksgiving Stacey!

This is brilliant Stacey! I should get one too. It would fit nicely beside the small bronze chubby Buddha that my parents put a Santa hat on every Christmas.

Very cool. I like it almost as much as the Judah Maccabee doll I ran across last year during Hanukkah. But I admit, you can't beat a Buddha for Christmas :)

JB,

Yes, it is a funny little gift idea for Christmas. It will be even funnier when I place it on my monitor at work where everyone is a Christian except me! I feel kind of left-out in regards to religion where I work, but if everyone can have their Christian books scattered all over their desks, then I don't see why I can't have Buddha on mine. :)

They seem to be hard to find on the internet, so I'm surprised you have one! I only found two stores that sell them. One store wanted $20 for one, and the other for $17, so I'm glad I found the cheaper one before giving up my search. (Yeah, I'm cheap.)

Speaking of zafus, I need to get me one of those, too. Somehow I don't think my lazyboy recliner is cutting it as a meditation spot. :)

Dr. J,

I love the little chubby Buddhas! I have a big concrete chubby Buddha statue right outside my front door. He greets visitors and passers-by with a happy smile!

Eliyahu ben Avraham vaSarah,

The little Judah Maccabee Doll is precious, too! Thanks for sharing the link. I love these cute little philosophical/religious stuffed dolls. I could seriously see myself collecting them. (Not to worry, I never got into the beanie-baby craze!)

Thanks, George! I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving, too. Mine was short-lived. I went to my dad's for two hours and ate a meal that my step-mom, step-grandmother, and grandmother made, but was too sick from a cold to stay beyond the meal, so I went home and missed the traditional movie-time that we usually have after big holiday meals. This year it was "Shark Tale", but I got to watch it at my house yesterday.
