Try to Be Present

"...Unfortunately, we are very often absent. We talk with each other, but we are not there; we shake hands, but we are not there; we eat our breakfast and dinner, but we are not there; we are in the news, in the papers, in our failures, defeats, hatreds, jealousies; yet we are not there.

Who is shaking the hand? Who is talking with that friend? Who is eating that dinner, if you are not there? Very probably you are obsessed and possessed, and you are absent. Try to exist. Try to be present. Try to be there in your actions, talks, and thoughts. ..."

Taking your attention within is good in this respect. Energy is withdrawn from your mind and you naturally become more present.

Thats a good point. How many people are walking around unconscious. Will People become Awake? More intune with others in communications. With Family Friends and Life. Whats the source of all this and if they find that will it awaken their soul up?

There is something meaningful to your post. I can relate to this actually. In fact, I noticed that there are a lot of people who misinterpret the true nature of communication. "Presence" is something that we should always be mindful of and 'presence" should be an effort of the mind not only the body.

no one but you can enlighten you and by what you have observed you are already enlightened ,truth is that no one is asleep. it just seems that way. sitting in a dark cell by yourself will not stop you from thinking ,thinking = data creating ,more data = more knowledge (even lies are more data) ,enlightenment = logical use of data ,logical use of data destroys previous logic and data ,like reincarnation from the previous you into the new enhanced version of yourself. knowing about the existence of a new (to you) something makes you look at that something and not look at all other existing things and that is what we all do (the dumbest and the smartest) we all do it but at different tempo adjusted to ourselves for ourselves and by ourselves. hope you get all the enlightenment you want`t and need.

When you are silent.. without any thought, then you are in the present.
That's my experience. Then everything you do becomes total. Every action happens on its own

To invite stillness in our life is essential for our consciousness. So we need to try and stay present.

We tend to focus on the future or past. That is why most of us cannot move forward. Very true that the present counts a lot in predicting our own future.

George Hicks here and the thing that came to mind while reading this is that communication that people have between other people is more like minds defining minds so that the opposing mind will weaken and admire your beliefs.

The first step of absense is:
Attention failure
then
Power and Control over something or someone
then
Revenge
then
Avoidance of Failure
and lastly
Withdrawal of positive experiences to attain small amounts of relief

Soulside, thanks for the comment. I haven't been on my blog in ages. I received your comment yesterday. I've actually been thinking lately about returning.

As for any success I've had, I'm starting to feel like it will be a lifelong process.

From my side I am present when I spend some time with myself that is the time where everyone find something new about them.

Sophia, I just recently saw your post on the yahoo group kentuckiana esoteric. It is still a dead group. Anywho, I practice hermeticism & kabbalah if you would be interested in chatting sometime.
